ADMINISTERING SERVERS
Description: This course provides a foundation for System Architects / Administrators who are
responsible for setting up and maintaining a BusinessObjects Enterprise platform.
Abstract: The overall goal of the BusinessObjects
Enterprise XI 3.0: Administering Servers course is to give learners the skills
and knowledge necessary to configure and manage the servers in a BusinessObjects
Enterprise deployment.
Student Profile: The target audience for this course is System Architects / Administrators who are responsible for setting up and maintaining a BusinessObjects Enterprise platform.
Prerequisites: To be successful, learners who
attend this course must have working knowledge of:
- Tasks involved in supporting BusinessObjects Enterprise users and groups accessing corporate data
through InfoView
- BusinessObjects Enterprise account management
- BusinessObjects Enterprise content management
- BusinessObjects Enterprise security concepts
- BusinessObjects Enterprise InfoView
- NT Enterprise security concepts (global / local groups and directory structure)
Objectives: After completing the course, learners
will be able to:
- Prepare, install, and configure BusinessObjects Enterprise
- Perform common server management tasks
- Manage web application services
- Manage the Central Management Server and the system database
- Manage the File Repository, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Desktop Intelligence, Adaptive, Event, Program Job, and Destination Job Servers
- Troubleshoot BusinessObjects Enterprise
